A Bit About Me

I am a expert at implementing accounting, finance and IT systems into small and middle market business, including the creation of accounts receivable reports, gross margin reports, proformas, sales performance, and cashflow models that integrate directly with the accounting and operating data of the firm.   In addition, my design of these systems provide for data mapping, and bank and loan reporting, as well as ad hoc reports.  

After completing my bachelor's degree in business finance and my master's degree in business administration in 1993, my career began in financial reporting manager and soon gravitated into providing these services to other operating divisions, and then later to other companies.  My industry experience includes financial, home building, subcontractor management and oversight, and staffing companies.  It also includes restructuring analysis for companies in financial distress.  

Given my nearly thirty years of focus on accounting and financial reporting, and experience with dozens of financial and operating software packages, I am recognized as a subject matter expert and routinely provide advice to companies in a myriad of industries.

1995 - 1997

Independent Accounting and Financial  Consultant. I have been an independent consultant since 2010 providing accounting, finance and IT support to various small and middle market businesses.  This work includes development and implementation of various financial management software and financial models.  Industry supported include real estate, restructuring and staffing. 

Homebuilder and Designer (Oak Street Development). I was the owner of a residential design, build and renovation company in Atlanta, Georgia.  The company provided services from project inception through building completion through final delivery of single family homes.  

Independent Consultant. I provided consulting services to various clientele involved in a wide variety of industries.  Assignments were mostly focused on accounting, finance, information systems and personnel and included numerous financial institutions.  

Commercial Loan Officer and Credit Officer (First Florida Bank). I managed the internal reporting of all aspects for three divisions with over 400 operating locations providing mainframe data to desktop applications.  Authored studies which included statistical analysis of staffing levels, turnover cost, and return on investment.

I have completed in excess of 500 hours of continuing education and am routinely asked to speak at professional seminars on topics related to accounting, finance, general business, and information and technology. 

Master's Degree in Business Administration. I completed my graduate degree in business administration which included an emphasis in investment management and international business, my coursework included advanced coursework in accounting, finance, management, and marketing.  

Bachelor Degree in Finance. I completed my undergraduate degree in management which included coursework in accounting, business law, economics, finance, information systems, management,  marketing, and organizational behavior.
