AIRA Court on the Beach; Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, 26th Annual Bankruptcy and Restructuring Conference; San Diego, California (June 10, 2010)

Franklind Lea, CIRA participated as "The Judge" during this special session of "AIRA Court" where the audience was the jury!  This lighthearted mock court session, modeled after the popular People’s Court television series, presented a sample valuation hearing as might be associated with the bankruptcy confirmation process.  Attorneys and their financial advisers argued their opinions about  the value of a fictitious operating company SkyHigh Industries, a commercial window production company, using various valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis, sales multiples, and asset liquidation.  The panel also included Brad Hillier, CIRA (AlixPartners), Eric Golden (Burr & Forman), Scott Davis, CIRA (Grant Thornton), and Steven Berman (Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick).
